The CulturART Exchange is a nine month long project that encourages young artists to live artfully, engage with community, and to create global connections. In the spring of 2015 Jessica Jang and Jason Wright were invited to Bogotá, Colombia to provide visual arts workshops for specially selected youth from the area of Tuna Alta. The young artists were also given opportunities to participate in a range of multidisciplinary practices with local artists throughout the duration of the project. In July, three peer-selected representatives from the group continue their art education in Vancouver with Jessica and Jason for a two week period. The project culminates with a collaborative work that is exhibited on Granville Island. Participating institutions in the CulturART Exchange include Arts Umbrella, Liceo Boston, and the Vancouver Biennale.
